While playing Lyrania, you may notice that different players have different, or the same, ranks beside their names in chat, to the left. But fear not, Peasant! There are a few possible ways to get these ranks.

• Spending real money on the game and increasing your Rep.
• Guilds that are level 100, and over, that have built the Monument, can bestow ranks.
• Halloween candy can give a rank to a player.
• The least common method is to spend real money, then increase your Rep to double what it was via tokens.
• Spending 300 tokens, bought with real money or in-game currency, to get yourself a nice shiny custom rank.'*'

Ranks have no usable function in Lyrania, i.e., they don't increase your stats, level, or hell, even make you better looking. Rep, which allows certain ranks, has no function either. Ranks are merely to proudly show off your guild, you got lucky on Halloween, Colosseum position, or to let others know, “Hey, I spent this much money at Lyrania”.

* Know this, custom bought ranks are always white, with one exception. If your guild has a Monument, a colored rank can be bought for 300 tokens as well.

Rep is simply a measure of how much real money (note: Lyrania uses USD ($)) has been spent buying tokens. A player can only buy up to double what they have initially purchased. This means that if you have one, you can have up to two; seven would have a max of fourteen, etc. If a player has zero rep, they cannot increase it with token spending. Rep does unlock game ranks which are explained above.
