 You will also receive a system message if your referral purchases tokens, with the message detailing how many tokens (and promo bonuses, if applicable) you received. If you happened to miss it in chat, you can check out your Log (under the main drop down menu) for System Messages. Your log only goes back a few days though, so make sure to notice your extra mounds of treasure early. ;P
